Kansas City disc golfers have done it again! In 2022, the 35th Annual Kansas City Ice Bowl raised $15,000.00 to be shared by our two charities – The Bishop Sullivan Center and the Mission Project.
This year’s event was comprised of 300+ players and 6 Satellite events across the KC Metro area with our Final 9 event taking place at Rosedale Park. Bowen Seiter took home the win and the KC Ice Bowl trophy along with bragging rights for the rest of 2022. Satellite event winners were Bowen Seiter at Bad Rock (38), Michael Stumfoll at Wilbur Young (53), Jason Norris at Prairie Center (45), and RJ Lawson taking back-to-back wins at Pleasant Hill (40) and Rosedale (36).
The Bad Rock and Wilbur Young satellites were true Ice Bowls as players competed in 4-5 inches of snow and 25-degree weather, but don’t think the rest of the events were any warmer! Weather for all events fluctuated between 21-degrees and 44-degrees.
Rick Rothstein did a fantastic job running the Frosty 50 again this year and Chris Timko’s 2022 Kansas City Ice Bowl Charity Auction brought in a total donation of $3,042.00, meeting his personal goal of $3,000.00!
Josh Kujawa (Bad Rock), Boris Becker (Wilbur Young), Cade Garrelts (Prairie Center), Matt Dixon (Pleasant Hill), Jack Lowe (Budd Park), and Cody Davidson (Rosedale) were kind enough to accept the role of TD and we truly appreciate them taking time out of their weekends to help run these Satellites.
Thank you to everyone who came out to participate the Satellite and Final 9 events! The KC Ice Bowl would not be what it is without your support! See you again next year!
