Why do you play disc golf?
The disc golf community is my community. I feel at ease when I'm out on the course, whether it's by myself, old friends, or making new friends. I also really enjoy imagining the flightpath of a disc, and sometimes getting it right. With disc golf I am allowed to not compete with any other player. Instead, each one of us pays the course the respect it deserves as we compete with it, side-by-side.
Why are you on the KCDG board?
My personal mantra is "Doing that, which is within my power, to promote, and contribute to, dignity for all people." As a volunteer in the Kansas City disc golf community, I felt like serving on the board could more closely align my actions with my mantra.
