2025 KCDG Call for Candidates
Kansas City Disc Golf is seeking qualified candidates to fill open Board of Directors positions for two-year terms. As a volunteer-run organization with no employees, KCDG depends on member involvement to operate.
Key Deadlines
- Application Deadline: November 7th
- Candidate Announcement: November 8th
- Election Period: November 10–24, 2025
- Results Announcement: November 28th
Interested candidates must complete the "Candidate Biography Questionnaire" available online.
Board Structure
The Board consists of 11 members who elect the following officers:
- President
- Vice President of Kansas
- Vice President of Missouri
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Sergeant-at-Arms
- Three at-large members
Board Responsibilities
The Board's main activities include setting KCDG policies, managing finances and annual budgets, identifying future board members, and representing membership's vision for the sport's future. The Board meets monthly (nine times yearly) in various formats — in person, online, or by phone.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must be active KCDG members and possess skills in areas like management, marketing, finance, strategic planning, or nonprofit experience. The organization values communication abilities, passion for disc golf, teamwork, and familiarity with KCDG operations.
