KCDG BoD Meeting Minutes — February 12, 2024

Present: Chris Timko, Pete Cashen, Laura Hayes, John Thompson, Rick Rothstein, Jan Stumfoll, Michael Belancio
Guests: Cade Garrelts, Mark Schmitz
Club Championship
Cade Garrelts volunteered to run the Club Championship, aiming to bring awareness to newer players about the history and prestige of the event. The chosen date is the weekend of September 28th-29th.
Prairie Center League
Cade proposed running the league at Prairie Center and sponsoring it with a donation of $200 in cash and $200 in merch from Flight Plan. Flight Plan also suggested offering an add-on for 20 league nights divided into 2 blocks.
Lakeside Hills
Mark Schmitz requested a mini-grant from KCDG to match the expenses from the city on new tee pads and baskets. Pete and John expressed support for the positive changes and redesign of the course.
Website
John Jones could not offer updates on the new website due to computer issues. Pete will follow up and potentially record a Zoom call for board review.
Icebowl
Rick shared thoughts about the event's format for future occasions. The Icebowl team estimates a formal financial report in about a month. JT announced the donation of $500 to the Icebowl from "Putting with the Pros."
League at City Park
Pete brought an update: Josh Harvey is interested in running the league on behalf of the Club.
Operations
Rick requested a manual for new board members.
