KCDG BoD Meeting Minutes — October 9, 2023

Present: Chris Timko, Jerry Patterson, Jan Stumfoll, Pete Cashen, Michael Belancio, Cary Rivard, Laura Hayes, John Thompson, Jeffrey Gabriel Toro, John Jones
John Jones Website Proposal
JT and Pete reached out to John about working on the website. John has experience managing websites and other IT work. He would build the new website independently for BoD review before going live. The board agreed the old site should be replaced entirely from scratch. John will work up a bid — mock-ups in about a week, total design and publishing in 6-8 weeks.
Club Championship Update
Jan provided updates. Chris will follow up and put events on UDisc. The club plans to get QR codes for membership renewal at partner stores.
Club Dinner Planning
- Food worked out at approximately $1,800 with vendor
- Ordering 300 bag tags — mockup approved by everyone
- Jerry working on beer arrangements
- JT will MC with state of the club address, VP addresses, and financial update
- Chris working on VOTY award inscription
- Elections to be posted soon
- Attendance usually between 75 and 100
KC Wide Open Bank Account
Chris proposed KCWO get its own account within the KCDG 501c3 at Commerce Bank. Treasurer agreed, everyone generally approved.
Financial Update
The treasurer needs to sort out the books and figure out what is KCWO vs KCDG. A bookkeeper would be helpful — Michael knows someone who might be able to help.
